I have my test in a week and my DS accuracy is at 46%. I want to understand how I can boost my DD accuracy in the next few days and bring it up to about 70% because that will have a huge impact on my score. I know this is not a great way to prepare but can someone help me understand a better way to attack this question type. Any help is appreciated.

All.i can say that practice as many questions as possible at this point of time...so different types of DS
DS IS all about thinking,how far u can think.
To be true one cannot nail DS in a week,becoz it is practice of DS which increase your accuracy.
Go to DS Forum on GMAT club and solve 700 and above level questions..it will surely enhance ur thinking and will help you in better way.
Practice and work hard,I hope you will get it

Blindly solving more problems wouldn't get you anywhere. I would like to ask you a few questions prior:
Are you solving a DS problem the right way?
DS questions have as much theory as PS questions, but are much easier. You need not solve both the options to see and then choose the correct answer.
How you need to solve a DS problem:
1. See whether answer Option 1 alone is sufficient to answer the question.
If yes, then you have narrowed your answer choices to 2, Answer A and Answer D.
Otherwise,
2. See whether answer Option 2 alone is sufficient to answer the question.
If yes, then you have narrowed your answer choices to 2, Answer B and Answer D
If both are individually sufficient, then It is option D. If either of them is true, then it is either Answer choice A or B.
If you're able to answer using both of them, then the answer is option C.
If none of them is possible, then the answer is E.
You to remember all the answer choices by heart, so that you directly switch back and forth between them without looking at the options.
You need to practice this skill and it is learnable in the short time that you have.
