How many months do you wait before the 1st and the 2nd test? What did your tutor help you with?

460 is not a competitive score so I would recommend that you spend more effort working on the fundamentals.

I took the first test about this time last year, but put a solid 3 months of prep into the second attempt. We worked mainly from the Princeton review book.

Hello cdossa44

Take a look at where you need help. Are you going wrong with understanding concepts or is it a time management problem ? If yes which part of it is a problem for you?
Is there a specific problem area - say in Verbal or Quant? You might want to analyze this a bit before looking for help. It would be good to understand the area of concern so that you are in the right direction.

You can PM me if you are looking for specific help with your GMAT.

I have taken the GMAT twice and got the same score (460). For the second attempt I went to a tutor and used different study books for prep. What is my next move? Should I retake the test or try to apply for programs with my current score?

Hello cdossa44,

a score of 460 is not going to help you get through competitive programs; we strongly recommend that you retake the test.

All the best!

Hello cdossa44:

I know how you must feel, in my first gmat attempt I scored a 470 (39q, 11V); however, in my last try I score a 650, I know maybe it’s not enough but for my target school hopefully it was. I enrolled in the online egmat for the verbal part, which was a disgrace in my first attempt. It took a couple of months of hard work and the right mentality.

Also, I used the gmat club exercises for RC and CR (only 650 and 700 difficulty).

Good luck
