Are u sure? Has anybody here attended classes in Chopra's or Manhattan Review? Can u provide feedbacks?
1. Chopra's is nothing but based on Kaplan Course. I haven't really attended nor learnt about Chopra's course , so really cannot comment on it.
2. Manhattan Review is different from
Manhattan Gmat.(I hope most people are aware of this by now)
3. I attended a Manhattan Review course way back in 2010 in Hyderabad (Just a few classes) and can say its good and economically priced (INR 18,000 then). Let me list out a few features of the course :
a. Their classes are good with qualified instructors, and of course they do provide access to an online video library (I guess).
b. The way they explain Verbal or Quant concepts is very good.
c. They discuss the OG problems in class ! ( This really helps, if you are not much of self study person, as understanding the OG is quintessential to GMAT success)
d. Their books (4 books) are not much too rave about in terms of concepts. Concepts are though in class. But yes the problems they provide are well researched and mimic GMAT standards. They are excellent for practice.
e. Can't say much about their online CAT's. But yes the algorithm and interface is provided by a company called https://www.catprep.com/ (Even veritas prep use them for their interface and algorithm). The question pool might be from Manhattan Review itself. So you need to ask someone who has actually taken the Manhattan Review CAT's for more on the verbal and quant question quality.
Perhaps, you can self study for a month, take 1 or 2 CAT's and assess yourself on the following factors :
1. Am I able to stick to my schedule?
2. How is my performance on the Mock CAT's. Is it anyway near to my Target Score or at least am I confident that I can reach the Target score by complete self study ?
And if your performance is dismissal and too low or if you are not being able to stick to your study schedules and personal discipline, yes the best option is to opt for a Manhattan Review class room course. Another option is Crack Verbal at Chennai. I heard about these people especially from other forums and the founder is quite active on most of the forums. They are known for their expertise on GMAT Verbal.
perhaps Take a demo class at Manhattan review and Crack verbal and take a decision based on your experience.
