I wonder should we even think about joining such a school?

School should know how much effort is needed in order to apply. And if this is the respect they give in return to all the hard work that is put in - it is highly disgusting.

I truly look forward to hear everyone's opinion on this.

Hi!

I submitted my application on Oct 14th, a day before the R1 application deadline. Should I be worried that I haven't gotten an interview invite yet?

Thanks!

They were super late on everything last year, and this year it will be no better as they are understaffed. There's only 5 people in their admissions office this year.

They have only about 1600 applicants, so 5 people is plenty. It's not Harvard where they have 10,000. I assume the reason they take longer is because of yield protection or some BS like that.

I don't think you should call their understaffed challenges as "highly disgusting."

Of course all applications take a lot of time, but it also take a lot of time to review. We are all putting it hard work here, it doesn't hurt to be patient. You should not feel so entitled that you cannot even wait for a delayed admissions process.

Nope, even the staff member I talked to at USC called it appalling and said they were understaffed.

Emailed them early last week and haven't received a response. Has anyone else experienced really slow communication turn around time?

Just had my interview with Marshall earlier today with a senior associate director, who also happened to be a Marshall grad. The interview was blind, as she only had my resume. It was conducted off-campus through Skype, but I didn't really see any major issues during the interview. I felt that I was able to establish good rapport with her, despite the non face-to-face interaction.

The interview questions were fairly standard, though I felt like I had a lot of explaining to do on my resume since my professional experience is widely varied and fairly confusing.

    1. Walk me through your resume.
    2. What made you move to xx country (where I am currently working)?
    3. Walk me through a typical day at your current job.
    4. Why do you want an MBA?
    5. Why USC? What clubs are you interested in?
    6. What are your short-term goals?
    7. What is your plan B if your immediate plans don't materialize?
    8. What is the biggest obstacle you have had to face?
    9. What kind of involvement of leadership positions did you have in undergrad?

All in all, I think the interview went well. There were a couple of research initiatives that I was interested in and happened to be the same ones that my interviewer had participated in when she was an MBA candidate at Marshall.

The Current Marshall Students

What companies have come to visit so far? Any video game/entertainment companies?

Also how hard do you find your core classes?

Is it easy to secure internships in consulting or in general with the Trojan Network? ( I would ask jobs but most of you are 1st years)

Thanks
