Hi, I'm a R2 candidate from India. I got an admit email only yesterday. I didn't expect to hear from McCombs so much before the deadline. For the record, I had interviewed with an alum on 10-02-2014. But don't lose hope guys! Good luck!

Ya I'm in Boston. It could be that they are letting people who have to travel further for admit weekend know earlier so they can plan accordingly. Or it could be completely random - it's still well before their deadline so I would try not to read into it too much if you haven't heard from them. Having said that, I'd probably be freaking out if I were on the other end.

Cool, thanks. Congrats man. I grew up in Boston, met a few first years from the area when I visited. I laugh every time someone compares Cambridge to Austin -- people in ATX are far more friendly. FYI for everyone looking to plan a campus visit, Southwest Airlines flies into ATX. Of course there is the American hub in DFW with connections, but my flight in on SW was much better than the American one out. There is no subway, but the bus system is very respectable and the drivers are pretty helpful. Posted from my mobile device
