200 people on the waitlist ? Thats almost like everyone who interviewed but didnt get in. Is it me or feels like Sloan likes friend zoning instead of letting people go.

What are you guys planning to do ?

Whoa that's a lot. Did you attend the waitlist chat? I couldn't make the chat so I've been looking for the transcript but haven't been able to find it. Would you mind posting it?

Could they be purposely tabling more applicants to adjust to having R3 for the first time?

I have a couple friends that were denied admission after the interview so I don't think that everyone who interviewed was wait listed. During the chat they said they would post the transcript soon - I believe last years transcript is available if you do a quick google search and it's probably fairly similar. Good luck everyone!

Honestly, it has kind of turned me off to the school and I'll be taking myself off the waitlist. Here's what it said:
 
So, you recently applied to the Sloan MBA Program at MIT, but did you know that you may also be a great fit for our 10-month master's degree program in Supply Chain Management?

Better still: you can apply to our program using the same application that you have already submitted.

Supply Chain Management has absolutely nothing to do with my career, so I don't see how I "may be a great fit."

Apparently my level of interest in their MBA program is not of relevance to them if they see their waitlist as just a high-conversion demographic to market their other programs. We took the time to apply and travel to campus to interview and deserve more respect than this.

Anyone know where to find the Waitlist Chat Transcript for this year? I remember Jennifer Barba mentioning it would be posted online during the chat.

Also, anyone have any plans to attend an info session on campus? I wanted to go on the 8th but couldn't make it. I'm thinking now might be a good time since it is very early in the application season for next year and we could get some extra time to speak with the admissions committee.

I submitted an update and got confirmation that it was received and nothing else since then. Based on the chat a while back, we will get an update when they announce round 2 decisions which can be accept, deny or continue to be on the wait list....

Hi there! I have sent updates to mbawaitinglist@sloan.mit.edu but have not received confirmation that they were received. Should I be concerned? Am I using the correct email address?

I would call them. I called after not hearing back for a week. And when I called, it was clear to me that they weren't really monitoring the mailbox. I was asked to forward my email to the regular email address. Even after that, I didn't receive a response.

I am pretty disappointed in Sloan's communications to applicants in this application season.
