Hi
kreel11,
the rule of thumb for Indians is to score at least 20 points above the average of the class. So, for example, if the average of the class at INSEAD is around 710, Indians are encouraged to score at least 730. Likewise, if the average of the class at HEC Paris is 690, then Indians are encouraged to score at least 710.
With this being said, with 12 years of experience now, and potentially 13-14 years at the time the program starts, you'll be on the older side of the applicant pool. Keep in mind that the usual age range for EU schools like INSEAD goes from 26 to 32, with IMD's being a bit higher.
So, it would be important for you to score even a bit higher than those 20 points extra to leave no doubt that you will be able to cope with the academic rigor of the program.
Also, on a side note, older applicants must demonstrate that they have accomplished much more in their careers than the average 27-28-29-year-old applicant. For example, they have received several promotions and already have several years of people-management experience leading teams. So, make sure your application presents you in such a way.
I hope this helps.
Warm regards
Alex
