Hi, 2 drawbacks I have observed for the new layout:
1. Alignment of the question section itself has shifted to the left side. It was centrally (almost) aligned before which made for a smooth UX for reading and solving questions. If this could be realigned to the centre, it would not strain the neck providing an enhanced user experience.
2. Unless timer is switched on, I cannot answer a question. Timer functionality is used at a later stage of preparation when accuracy levels have been reached. Using the timer as a mandatory function will draw concentration away from accuracy in the first phase of preparation which might contribute to slower productivity.
Thank you for the feedback!
1. Let’s think about how we can improve this. It might just be that the UI is new, and you need some time to get used to it.
2. You can check the OA without starting the timer by clicking the big "Show Answer" button.
Previously, users were clicking A, B, C, D, or E just to reveal the answer, which created a log with 0 time in the
error log, even though the question wasn’t actually attempted. Now, if you want to check the official answer and stats, you need to click the "Show Answer" button, which won’t create a 0-time log in the
error log. If you want the question added to the
error log, start the timer, select an answer, and it will be recorded properly in the
error log.
So, essentially, if you just want to check the official answer and stats, click the large "Show Answer" button in the timer or "Show Answer" under the post. If you want the question added to the
Error Log, start the timer and select an answer (A, B, C, D, or E).
