Hi everyone, I am excited to share that the new UI/design for the topic pages has been released.
Thank you
Bunuel for your hard work on this initiative!
I hope it works well for everyone but I know there are always small things that we can make better or maybe big ones too!
If you run into any issues, bugs, or you have questions, PLEASE - LET US KNOW! We would love to fix them!
To highlight a few of the new and hopefully cool features:- You can now close the right hand bar. Just click X. This setting will be saved for your session. When you come back the bar will be back but you can easily close it if gets in your way.
- Simplification of the UI experience (we have removed a lot of the rarely used buttons/features
- Left "Hamburger" bar is now visible on all pages for easy navigation
- Improved the timer in the question sub-forums - example
- Profiles are much more compact now - they are no longer using up the space on the left, allowing more space for the topic and text, esp. valuable in the RC and DI questions.
In addition to the points mentioned above, there are the following changes:
1. You can now review all your attempts for a question, along with the answers you selected, directly in the timer. This feature was not available in the old UI.

2. Previously, users were clicking A, B, C, D, or E just to reveal the answer, which created a log with 0 time in the
error log, even though the question wasn’t actually attempted. Now, if you want to check the official answer and stats, you need to click the "Show Answer" button, which won’t create a 0-time log in the
error log. If you want the question added to the
error log, start the timer, select an answer, and it will be recorded properly in the
error log.
So, essentially, if you just want to check the official answer and stats, click the large "Show Answer" button in the timer or "Show Answer" under the post. If you want the question added to the
Error Log, start the timer and select an answer (A, B, C, D, or E).
