It depends on your target. If you are at least 20 points above your target, then yes. Otherwise, work on scoring at least 20 points above your target.

Primarily, think about the assumption first. For Assumption, Strengthen, Weaken, and Evaluate questions, this is the approach you will use most often.-

Assumption questions: Identify the assumption by looking at the conclusion and finding the missing link. If you're still unsure, use the negation test (also known as the falsification technique

Evaluate questions: Start the same way by identifying the assumption. Then determine whether the information in the answer choice would significantly affect the validity of the conclusion

Weaken questions: Again use the same approach. Identify the assumption and choose the option that weakens it or attacks the reasoning

For assumption, strengthen, and weaken questions, the correct answer choice should usually provide new information that is not mentioned in the passage, rather than being a mere inference from the passage.

What is the length of Train A if it crosses Bridge X in 30 seconds from the moment it enters the bridge to the moment its final carriage exits the bridge?
​(1) Train B, which is 200 meters long, traveling at a constant speed of 20 meters per second, crosses Bridge X in 40 seconds.
​(2) The end of Train A, which is traveling at a constant speed, passes a pole in 10 seconds from the moment the train meets the pole.



Can anyone help me with this problem?

OG’s DS question: Answer given ’E’ but I think it should be ’C’.

Need Advice: 2 Months of Self-Study – Progress, but Stuck on Hard Questions (Target 705+)

Hi everyone,

I’ve been self-studying for the GMAT for the past two months, and I’ve made noticeable progress, but I’ve also identified some recurring issues that I’m not sure how to fix. I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has been through a similar stag Quant

* I can solve most **easy** and a good number of **medium** GMAT Club questions comfortably, usually within **2 minutes**.
* My biggest issue is with **hard** questions. I often struggle to identify the right approach. However, when I read the solution afterward, I usually understand the logic immediately and think, *"That makes sense."*
* It feels like I have the concepts, but I don’t yet have the pattern recognition needed to quickly identify the best approach on my own.

### Verbal

* I can solve most **easy** and many **medium** questions correctly.
* **Hard** questions are still a challenge.
* My main problems are:

* I can’t pre-think the answer choices quickly enough.
* I spend too much time understanding the author’s intent, the logic between sentences, and the overall argument.
* Because of this, I often exceed the ideal **2–3 minutes** per question.

### Data Insights (DI)

* My biggest issue is speed.
* I take too long to analyze tables, graphs, and multiple data sources before I can even start solving the question.
* I feel that my data interpretation process isn’t efficient enough.

### My Questions

1. Is this a normal stage after about two months of preparation?
2. How do I improve my ability to recognize the correct approach for difficult Quant questions without looking at the solution?
3. How can I improve my reading speed, pre-thinking, and comprehension for difficult Verbal questions?
4. What is the best way to become faster at analyzing data in DI?
5. At this stage, should I continue solving more practice questions, or should I spend more time reviewing and analyzing my mistakes?

For context, I’m aiming for a **705+ GMAT Focus score**. Any advice, study strategies, or resources that helped you get past this stage would be greatly appreciated.

Take an official mock and check where you stand, if your accuracy is close to 100% in easy and medium. You should be able to score 705+ without solving all the questions.

Hi I am planning on giving the GMAT in October and have already given 3 mocks (1 GMAT official + 2 free) wherein I got a 575-570 across the board. I want to target atleast a 695 or above in my official attempt - should I go for a crash course/coaching for this or continue to use gmatclub questions for prep and then maybe just get a few mocks to practice things out

Not to discourage you, but a 100-point jump in two months is a bit hard. However, it is not impossible. I would advise you to at least:

1. Thoroughly analyze your error log (if you don't have one, start one). See where you are making mistakes and review the core concepts, because if you are scoring around 575, your basics need work.
2. ⁠Solve official questions, and after each question, spend at least 5 minutes analyzing why your answer was right or wrong. Look into other explanations and try to find at least two ways to solve each problem, especially for Quant.
3. ⁠Try free trials of the courses and figure out which is the right fit for you, before enrolling, wasting time and money.
