Does GMAT still ask coordinate geometry questions? like an equation given and values of x & y asked?
No such question has been reported recently by the test takers who have given feedback to me.

However, OG has several concepts of co-ordinate geometry concerning line, slope, intercepts so it won’t be a surprise if question appears for a few test takers.

These are the concepts I have still been teaching as they still are part of OG which is our point of reference.

I also discuss concepts of Quadratic equation (parabola) from algebraic point of view and very briefly connect it with co-ordinate geometry

Hey guys! I’m aiming for a 700+ (currently sitting at a 645) and could really use some advice on a couple of roadblocks. I am struggling quite a bit with time management in Data Insights, especially on Multi-Source Reasoning questions, and I am also trying to figure out how to improve my accuracy in Verbal. If you have any strategies, resources, or routines that helped you overcome these specific hurdles, I’d love to hear them. Thanks in advance!

@vashey

For DI, especially MSR, I’d practice in short timed sets and train yourself to scan the tabs first instead of reading everything. For Verbal, keep a quick error log and look at why you picked the wrong answer—not just what the right answer was. That helped me more than simply doing more questions. Small, consistent timed practice can make a big difference when pushing from the 640s toward 700+.

You can. Take the free official gmat mock to check where you stand.

If it’s fairly close to your target score. Then yes

Hi everyone, is anyone else facing an issue with the GMAT Club Quant Quiz?

Even when I select multiple topics, the quiz often gives several questions from one particular topic only. For example, in a 10-question quiz, I may get 5–6 questions from Sequences while the other selected topics are barely covered.

Because of this, it’s difficult to get balanced practice across different Quant topics.

Is there any setting I’m missing, or does the quiz generally work this way? Would be helpful to know if others are experiencing the same thing.

Celebrity Fitness Trainer: Red wine may have some health benefits, but it’s very calorific — one bottle can easily contain up to 700 calories. It’s a good idea to be careful with your alcohol consumption, but if you want a drink, try swapping wine for a glass of gin and slimline tonic, at only 115 calories. And if you’re after resveratrol and proanthocyanidins, the key antioxidants in red wine, you can find them in many supplements instead.

The fitness trainer’s argument logically depends on which of the following assumptions?
Many people have become alcohol addicts after regularly consuming red wine.
Celebrities are oblivious of the significantly higher calorie contribution of red wine.
The alcoholic content of gin and slimline tonic is less than that of red wine.
Supplements are a good substitute for anti-oxidants.
Wrong
Celebrities, who skip meals to stay lean, take to red wine than other drinks to shed weight.

Can anyone please help me with this Q?

C

for trainer to suggest gin and supplements the alcohol content has to be lower than red wine, thus the assumption in trainer’s logic
