Hey

I’ve just started my preparation, in fact trying to understand how to prepare. I have bought the official guide set of 3, studied number theory from one of free downloads at gmat club and tried to solve 3-4 number theory questions. Fail to even take 1 step forward. I have max 3 months to prepare and give the exam. Should I take an online course?

Hi. Ideally, you should take GMAT by July 15 (maximum by July 20) so that you can submit your application in R1 BEFORE the deadline. This would help you to maximize your chances of getting both an offer letter & a scholarship. This is the exact approach that I use while working with my students.

Which target schools do you have in mind?

I will share my experience even though it was bad so may be more useful-
1. I enrolled with manya Princeton review but I have extremely bad experience. I am still not aware with many things relevant to gmat..I read about scoring pattern in this group.
2. Plan well before attempting, planning is not a bad thing and GMAT specially requires planning as I was working and treated like other exams so I badly failed in verbal even though scored good in quant.
3. Never believe everything shared on youtube, verbal and RC I faced was quite different and so I found reading quick and accurate are key trick so read articles and a good newspaper on daily basis for RC..Nothing else will work..try practice test as much as you can.

I will be attempting again in July so kindly make a group for june july where we can have discussion

Nammoth & PawanKumar7 - I requested to join the group but I guess the admin approval is turned on. If you’re the admin can one of you approve the request or ask the admin to let me in. My number ends with 142.

Any advice on going from a quant of 47 up to 50. And a verbal of 42 up to 45+ (for the record I miss only hard sentence correction questions and have never missed a reading comp or critical reasoning question)

Jaspreet07,

Just get Manhattan books or a course. The official guide is not enough by itself and most of the GMAT Club resources are focused more on the more advanced topics where people struggle the most…. Just fyi. Many of the resources we have assume that you have already tried books or courses and are designed to be auxiliary rather than the replacement. Just FYI.

Hi, can you please elaborate on what you mean when you say “GMAT Club resources”?

Honestly, there is a plethora of content in GMAT club and I am finding it very hard to include the content on GMAT Club to my prep. Even if I do, it is not organised and hence I don’t get that satisfaction of consistent progress, I don’t know if you understood what I meant😅

If you had to organise content on the GMAT Club to enable a test taker to use if effectively, how would you do it?

Thanks!

Use *it effectively

exactly - we have a lot of resources and topics and questions but they’re not organized into a big course because if they get organized and will just become another test prep course and that’s not our goal to become yet another prep company…. Honestly there are already many good courses and products that there’s no reason for us to try to replicate.

Hmmm, I guess that explains why the forum is the way it is. Nevertheless, more often than not the forum directly helps me in finding what I want if I dig deep enough. 👍👍

From where can get the organised content set of questions and previous year questions?
