It is easy. Harvard is the only school with need-based scholarship.

All others are merit-based.

Get a really high test score (mostly GMAT at this time) and have a strong profile and there is a good chance you will get some money offered as long as you are 30-50’points above the peer average

Just to add on the above note I guess LBS offer need-based scholarships too. Correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, I believe with most LBS scholarships you are automatically considered when you apply i.e; you don’t need to make a seperate application to apply specifically for the scholarship

Apart from a select few scholarships I guess, but their website has a lot of good info

Hi! Just wanted to ask this: how reliable are the online diagnostic tests on gmat website as a proxy for picking which topics/type of questions to tackle? Still havent started doing full OG questions as I was planning on using them after watching topics that I know for a fact dont know enough of.

They are pretty good. They are the most reliable predictor

i should say they are the best but there are always factors that may inflate or deflate your score in about 20% cases (I made up the 20% number based on anecdotal feedback). But for 80% of people you should get a pretty accurate and reliable score.

Hi. In Pro and Classic versions, there is the same number of questions.
Those questions can build you up to 9 Verbal tests. If you attempt sectional tests, then this decreases the number of available verbal tests which has an impact on the Total Tests you can take.
Taking quizzes can also decrease the number of tests available.
Hope this clarifies.

How do I create a quiz with official guide questions only? The instructions say there is a filter, but I don’t see it.

I am not sure if pro package includes forum quiz access, you can go to tests in header menu-> click on Forum Quiz. You’ll be able to choose source question type and everything there, provided you have access. Otherwise, there is a trial for a week. You can check and make a decision to buy.

Hope that helps.

Hello all! am very confused about scoring system of GMAT. First of all, how many questions are there? Is it constant over the years? Secondly, For 600-650, how many (approximately) questions or what percent of the questions should be correct? (Verbal + Quant)

Can someone please provide a solution for this:
A high school basketball player practices 40 free throws every day. Over the past 90 days he has averaged 25 successful free throws.

What is the probability that he will make 30 or more free throws?

(A) 0.08
(B) 0.01
(C) 0.11
(D) 0.02
(E) 0.05

Seems like we need to find probabilities here=> P(success)=25/40= 5/8 and P(Fail)=15/40=3/8

And from here we need the SD. This should not be part of GMAT I believe.

SD is just a base concept tested, we wont be asked for calculating complex questions.
