Thank you so much for your response and questions! I want to understand if Japanese universities are globally visible and if people do consider them. Have you ever thought about them before my question? Japanese MBA program: 1,664,000 Japanese yen ($11678.95 at the moment) for 2 years of MBA in Japan. + different types of scholarships. Free Japanese classes are provided.

I know there are programs in Japan but my guess you are going to be Japan bound and better speak the language.

That’s so interesting!!! You did well! What are you doing now? Are you still connected to Japan somehow? Can you share the insights of your research? Did you notice the visibility problem of Japanese MBA? Sorry for so many questions!

I think many people do not consider Japan because of the language, but there are MBAs in English in Japan, and the universities provide free Japanese classes, so that you feel comfortable during your stay, and could have career opportunities in Japan after your graduation. Thank you for sharing your concerns! It was a very big help for me!

If a and b are positive, what is the value of a − b?

(1) a2+2ab+b2=36
(2) a2−b2=12

I was unable to find the solution on the forum

Hello BB and Bunuel,
Could you please help me with the answer to this question

If a and b are positive, what is the value of a − b?

(1) a2+2ab+b2=36
(2) a2−b2=12

I was unable to find the solution on the forum

IMO-Option-C (1& 2 together are sufficient)
Statement-1:
a^2+b^2+2a*b = 36
(a+b)^2= 36
As both a and b are positive , a+b = 6
a and b can be (3,3) (1,5), (5,1), (2,4) or (4,2) - This clearly Insufficient

Statement-2:
a^2-b^2 = 12
(a-b)*(a+b) = 12
It can be 6*2 or 2*6 or 3*4 o 4*3
So, this is also Insufficient

(1) and (2) together, as (a+b) = 6, (a-b) = 2, Sufficient
Please correct me If I am wrong.

Thanks a lot!

My knowledge of Japanese MBAs is limited to the double degree programme offered by Nanyang Business School, Singapore and Waseda University of Japan. I've been interested in Japanese culture for many years now, but have always been hesitant to translate my interests into possible career options out of fear of the language barrier (speaking Japanese is perfectly fine, but learning Kanji on top of Katakana and Hiragana is very daunting:cry:).
Another, smaller concern is the rigor of the Japanese corporate work culture. However, I think this might be owed more to my lack of knowledge on the matter. What are your thoughts on the work culture of Japan? Especially for foreigners?

That's great to hear! May I ask how long it took you to become comfortable with the language?

It's called an optional 10-minute break, so you can skip it. Here are the screens from GMAT™ Focus Official Practice Exam regarding the breaks.

But in classic version it’s 8 minute break. Right?
