yes I was at the lanes as you, mindset was my problem during the test + I couln`t perform under pressure. So I`m working on those. Also another helpful thing could be tell chatgpt of the entire scenario & it could help with mindset setup & how to be calm & not anxious during test

Exactly, there many components that go into getting a higher score including mindset, knowledge of the material, pressure, timing, etc.

Yes, I was definitely nervous during the test. It was my first real attempt. I started with Quant, and I actually felt I was doing fine at the beginning, but then I had to guess a few questions toward the end. I didn’t think it was going that bad, though

In Verbal, about 90% of my mistakes were in Reading Comprehension. I got one really complex passage with four questions tied to it, and it completely threw me off (I lost some time and confidence after that)

As for Data Insights, I’m not even sure what went wrong. I thought I was getting most of the early questions right, but apparently not. I also ran out of time at the very end, and the last question just disappeared when time ran out

I’ll attach screenshots of my official score breakdowns here as well, in case that helps identify where things went off track

Following the screenshots: 1st Data; 2nd Verbal; 3rd Quant

Thank you for sharing the details and this is much more helpful with your descriptions.

The screenshots sort of tell a bit of a story but it’s really you who provide the full picture 👍

I am seeing a big challenge in quant as it seems like you’ve missed five or six questions in a row in that middle section.

It’s gonna be hard to diagnose because you don’t have access to the questions but seems like something didn’t go well and you’ve used up quite a bit of time on some of those . Other you answered very quickly and still incorrectly so I’m not sure what happened there - maybe you got tricked with a question or perhaps misread or moved too fast to perhaps combine questions, I used to do that.

However, there is quite a bit of good news as well . I think scoring 100 points higher would be possible if you did not miss that question on data insights and better on quant. Doing a bit better and verbal would also help push you up there.

It’s something you need to decide as to what happened with your quantitative performance and why it torpedoed.

Only you can really tell if that was the impact of stress (very common for people to forget all their strategies and revert to gut approach) or if you are indeed needing to review more quant and so on.

I don’t think you need to take a full test but if you have a gym prep Hindi, I would just take one of the free tests if you still have one available and just do the quant section . You can also take the gym at club one, it’s not as precise for scoring as official but it’s going to help you either regain your confidence or decide that yep I got some holes to patch.

PS. By the way, whatever the outcome I wouldn’t plan to take more than four weeks until you retake. Even if you decide you’ve got some holes to patch and revisit topics do it in a very intense manner, studying six days a week for just two hours a day. Review what you covered yesterday at the beginning of every day and progressed through your notebooks and the notes you’ve made using your error log as your guide.

Take brief quizzes of five or 10 questions each day but don’t go crazy with questions. It’s so easy to just be solving questions forever

Hello, I’m starting my GMAT preparation , but I’m really confused as there are many coaching available that claim to provide all the resources needed, should I opt one such or should I just go with gmat OG resources , I’m also confused regarding the ttp quant course and egmat verbal, how should I go about ?. It would be really helpful to get insights.

Hi everyone, i have been speaking with a couple of consultants for admission consulting for mainly ISB & insead. while both seem pretty decent i am having trouble deciding. Could someone help out if they have any insights in terms of either of these consultants:

Really? A book with each and every quant concept used to solve each and every gmat problem ever? Where can I get it?
Uhh, I don't know if something like that exists but their book is pretty close: gmat-math-book-in-downloadable-pdf-format-130609.html

Hello everyone, I am planning to take a GMAT this month, I feel like I am at a plausible point but I want to increase my speed on verbal and data insights. Any suggestions?
