Planning LSAT-only CR prep for a few weeks — any downside on OG pattern? (655–705+)
There’s no real downside to practicing LSAT questions since they can definitely help improve your reasoning skills. However, based on my experience, the structure of LSAT and GMAT questions does differ. LSAT tends to be more airtight and precise, while GMAT Critical Reasoning, especially at higher difficulty levels, can feel a bit more open-ended. So sometimes the reasoning style developed through LSAT practice may not translate directly when dealing with the kind of language used in GMAT CR.
So yes, use LSAT questions to build a strong foundation, but make sure you also spend enough time with GMAT-style CR questions, preferably from older Official Guides or mock exams, to fine-tune your approach to what the GMAT actually tests.
