Hi mudit89

I realised that this thread wasn't touched by anyone for a very long time. I am curious to find out if you already applied or you are going to apply for the next intake?
Looking forward to learning about the changes/development in your profile since January 2020, so that I can evaluate your profile better.

Cheers!

Hello, hello! I see a lot of good things in your profile description.

A lot of awards and recognition by being put on client projects. I hope these would help you generate enough material to show your leadership skills, initiative-taking and result orientation, in all components of the application- the resume, essays and the recommendations.

Among your noteworthy ECAs are-
- the entrepreneurial stint sounds exciting. Even if you didn't do too well, you would have learnings from this experience which would be relevant to share in the b-school setting
- being a trained mental health listener sounds unique- I haven't really heard of other applicants being trained to do so. However, in the stressful business environment, being an empathetic listener for your peers can be a definite advantage. Moreover, if getting into product management post-MBA is a career goal, then it will be a good transferable skill to have in that role.
- the Guinness record consideration can be a good point for conversation during the interviews. Moreover, I will assume that this is for a talent/hobby/ passion- which can have its own interesting story

Overall, whatever you write in the applications on the personal or professional side- make it a point to show your leadership skills.

The GRE is average for an Indian applicant.

Regarding SMU- you should talk to current Indian students and recent alumni and find out especially about the job scenario and visa possibilities for Indians in your target industry. Actually the same goes for NTU as well, as its also a 1-year duration program like SMU.

Hope that helps.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for taking the time to review. What would you say I should improve on. I am assuming GRE(I am not sure how much better I can do, considering I am pretty bad at aptitude tests)
