Thanks for your reminder, here is what I get

"Thank you for applying to the Langone Part-time MBA program at NYU Stern. We have received your application and it is currently being processed and presented to the Admissions Committee for review. Should the Committee require additional information, you will be notified via email.

Please note that if you submitted a complete application by May 15, you will receive notification on or before August 1. If your application is not complete by the deadline, your notification may be delayed."

That's crazy to me. I can't imagine parting with my weekends.

I'd agree except when you travel about +100k miles per year. Tuesday, this must be Belgium.

Ya me neither, but then if you don't live in the city, travelling back and forth 2 hours on a week night, is waste of time...and if you have a demanding job, leaving work at 5 to 5:30 to get to class by 6pm, is virtually impossible..

Sorry to hear about this too. I would like to think that they made this decision after a long review since you made it this far. I am curious though (and everyone who has an opinion on this is free to reply)....I thought you put down weekend only? Is this the standard ding response or did they actually considered you for weeknight and Westchester as well?

Well, i 'm not so sure....but from the wording of the text it looks like they do.Someone else may know for sure.

Actually you know what, I didn't even notice that they considered me for all programs. But I can't see how they could have, if I made it very specific that I can only attend the weekend program. Why would they bother wasting a space by accepting me in weeknight program, if I stated clearly that I'm not attending weeknight program?

I think most people get dinged on the last day anyway, so I'm not sure if I should find any solace on the fact that they dinged me on the last day..Well, I do'nt have any hard data to prove it though, so if anyone can prove me otherwise, that'll give me the confidence boost I need when I reapply!

Man, now I'm back to studying for GMAT. Dang, I wish I had studied for it more recently..trying to remember all the stuff I studied for over a year ago (I took the GMATs 2007 Spring)....it's back to square one..

Hmmm, now that I think about it, it's probably a generic response. But mbanewyorker got a call from a different program from Stern. So I guess the adcom does pay a lot of attention to the applications.
