Hey guys im curious what the odds of an admission are after an invitation to interview? I have received invites at Stern Kenan Flagler and Mendoza and im curious what my odds are, thanks!

Hi,
The chances of receiving an acceptance letter after a school interview vary from school to school
For example, Kellogg invites everyone to an interview, hence the chances are lower than most other schools vs. other schools, for example. UCLA or NYU tend to invite fewer candidates to interviews and hence their acceptance rates are higher.

But ultimately, all these stats are worthless. it is up to you to be prepared for the interview, and if you get accepted (or don't) is nothing to do with the school stats.
I interviewed for my business school for 8 years. No one told me to accept 50% of the interviewees or 60%, and I simply made my decision on the basis of the candidate that was in front of me.

How can you prepare for an interview in the best way?
1. Research the school - talk to alumni and students

Hey Brady,

It's generally a good sign that you are being invited to interview. On the low end, the chances of admission after the invite, assuming the interview goes well, are 45-50%...at some schools its as high as 70-75%. Often times, the interview is simply a "check" that the person on paper matches the one in real life and interviewers are often times looking for soft skills such as self-awareness and hirability.
