One month to GMAT,
I have been scoring above and around 700 consistently on GMATprep, Kaplan,
MGMAT and Veritas, however still eyeing the coveted 750, my quants hover around 49-50, and verbal 37-38, any tips on how I should structure my study plan for the next one month?
Considerations: I am working 8 hours a day, so won't be able to put in more than 2-3 hours of study time each day.
Also if you can recommend any study materials considering the time crunch I have, and my verbal lacking, it'd be a major help.
Scoring becomes very difficult after a certain score especially above the 700 level.
To break into the 750+ range, you will have to minimise your mistakes as much as you can.
You need to figure out the sections and the subsections in which you need to improve.
For example, in the RC section, which type of passages are troubling you or in the CR section, which question type you are having a problem with.
Also, it is very important to go back to your error logs and revise whatever you have accumulated over the period of your studies.
This will ensure that you do not make the same mistakes again.
While taking the tests, try to answer the first 10 questions correctly. As they set a base for your score. Also, make sure that your body and mind is prepared for the 4 hours marathon on the test day.
1. Always the full length CATs along with AWA and IR
2. Try to take the tests at the same tim of the day when you plan to take the GMAT
All the best!
