I wonder if acceptance into these programs is more competitive than the two-year programs offered at the school. hmm. :)

That highly depends on the programe your looking at. Take Emory (Goizueta) for example:

Average GMAT Score is lower with 642 compared to 680. GPA is comparable and work experience tends to be more. https://www.goizueta.emory.edu/degree/fulltimemba/class_profiles.html

... have to research and see what fits your profile

Hi eveyone,

I have been researching about one-year MBA's in the USA lately. Since the information seems to be hidden very well, I wanted to share some of the information on the programs I found.

- Kellogg (Northwestern University) kellogg.northwestern.edu/Programs/FullTimeMBA/MBA_Programs/1_Year_Program.aspx
- 80-90 every year
- FT: 21 BW: 4 Ec: 18
- Same as 2Y, Tuition 72,000$
- Summer preparation and then electives together with 2nd year

Hi Cr3at1v3,
The tuition amount for 1Y and 2Y is different.
Note that you may want to consider 'total' expenses since living expenses may vary depending on the city and country.
Good luck!
Greg

Ref. https://www.kellogg.northwestern.edu/Pro ... ships.aspx
Tuition, Financial Aid & Scholarships
Past tuition increases have been 5-7%.

The estimated total costs for the Two-Year and MMM program for the 2011-2012 academic year, including tuition, books and materials, loan fees, computer equipment and living expenses are:
$81,229
Tuition is $54,000

The estimated total costs for the One-Year program for the 2011-2012 academic year, including tuition, books and materials, loan fees, computer equipment and living expenses are:
$106,536
Tuition is $72,000

Hi eveyone,

Focus are the business schools in the USA, since it is common to offer 21-24 months. In Europe most of the schools offer one-year programs.
I may be completely off but you are considering 1 year programs (INSEAD for ex.) in Europe too, right?

Point taken. I am however asking Cr3at1v3 if he is considering 1Y MBAs in European school as well/ in addition to US programs.
Seems that if you are looking at Kellogg, you may also want to apply to INSEAD.
Maybe a different thread but I am interested in his opinion.

Thank you for sharing these details. In fact I was also looking for 1Yr MBA programs or Accelerated MBA programs. Here is what I have come across so far. I will update the list as soon as I find more information.

Note: I have listed only schools which appear in top 50 of most rankings.

Tuition for Mendoza is about 70,000, for the 1 year program. 61 k is for 1 year in the 2 year program. Also, Boston University and USC Marshall have year MBAs. Though USC's 1 year MBA has a very strong focus on east asia and is not just an accelerated version of their standard MBA.

Great list!

One question: Where do you find the 1 Year Stanford?

Looking into top 50 (not only US) you might want to check SDA Bocconi as well. Interesting program!

Thanks for your PM, I think we discussed this now :) But for the others involved as well: There are a couple of good one year programs out there in Europe (yes, INSEAD is doing great). I have to make this decision sometime in the next few weeks. Probably will apply to 5-6 schools - Chicago and Atlanta are certainly in. In addition I am looking at Europe as well. But there is some great information about the European ones already on GMAT Club, so I thought I could share the info on the US ones.

If anyone is interested in my application tracker - there is some more information included...

Sorry, but isn't that the Masters and an announcement that the academic year was changed to 12 months.

I don't see that connected to the MBA (that still only has a 2 year option)

https://www.gsb.stanford.edu/mba/academics/

BUT please proof me wrong, one-year MBA at Stanford would be very interesting to me!
