Hi all
I am at the beginning stages of my GMAT prep and am looking for a study group in the NYC area (I would be available post 6:30pm on most weekdays or on weekend....Manhattan preferable) or to join/create an online study group. If someone would be willing to provide a study plan or has experience with an online study group, by all means let me know. This is my first go with the GMAT so any guidance from the more experienced would be appreciated.
Ideally, I would like to find a few people that are working at a similar level and in a similar situation (I am planning to take the test for the first time in June/July '15). Here's a bit about where I am: US born and bred and a native speaker. I earned a degree in a social science and an artistic performance degree from a very highly regarded private university for undergrad but have been out of touch with a lot of the GMAT Quant material for the past couple of years solely because it was not part of anything I was doing (I have a pretty non-traditional background...we can get into that later if you want). So far, I have been working through the MGMAT Foundations of GMAT Math to reacquaint myself with these textbook skills and it's now time to start prepping for the actual test. All of that said, I am fairly confident that I can work myself up to the 700 range (I would love to break 700, ideally sit around 720) as I plan on putting serious effort into this prep and have been a fairly strong standardized test taker in the past. I also plan on enrolling in the MGMAT course but would like to supplement that course with additional, independent work, which is where this group comes in.

Also, not to sound rude, but since we will be working together for the next few months, I am not interested in teaming up with any "smarter than thou" attitudes or egos. This is going to be a process and I'm looking for someone that understands and appreciates that as well.
