Do decisions always come on the Decision date or can they come earlier if you interview quickly and are a strong candidate? Curious if I can make it in for R2 in time and R3 is quite a ways away to hear back and make decisions with my other schools...thanks.

Hi UTDub.
This year, all Oxford decisions were released on the same day, after last interviews for R1 were completed; so it was quite a long wait. I guess the same will be true for the subsequent rounds. However, during the Open Day they mentioned that there could be some ‘exceptional circumstances’ when the decision is released earlier – but I haven’t heard even of a single occasion of that.
Cambridge releases their post-interview decisions the next day or in two days after the interview event, if you are interviewed on campus. If you choose different interview option, it depends – you might even have to wait till the official deadline date.

Oh, and I believe that scholarship decisions are not always known at the time of the admit. Unfortunately, I don't have much info on this issue, though.

Congratulations everyone, this is awesome news! GMATclub is cleaning up today for Oxford! :woohoo

I just woke up this afternoon (late night yesterday

) here in Australia to find my admit email as well.

Alas, I'm not sure it will change my first choice -- though I will wait to receive my offer letter at the very least. Either way, it was great visiting the campus (nicest facilities out of the schools I visited) and my interview was easily the most enjoyable as well (I interviewed with the MBA director -- who was truly impressive and we had a great conversation).

Hope we get a GMATclub get-together going soon next year in the UK!

Dear greenoak, prashok and all others who have received the admit to Oxford. firstly congrats. I can understand how releived you all are feeling. three cheers for GMAT CLUB. i hope we will have a grand party at Said before joining.

I wanted to know has anyone of us received a scholarship as well? Or was the communication only regarding admission decision? With loans drying up this year funding will be the next big challenge. how do you people intend to do it. I am planning a robbery :twisted:

Brand wise i know SAID is way way way ahead....
But w.r.t jobs in UK , i think Ox is much more recognised than IE... and UK is where some good consulting jobs are coming in right????
