Just received my Cambridge interview invite! (Note this is early notification as I requested an interview in my home country) - I understand that the automated mail is going out some time next week - so good luck to those who's still waiting

By the way, anyone heard from Oxford yet?

Thanks, humblewinner. I emailed admissions team ad I noticed they were travelling here for info sessions, etc. And asked if I was considered for an interview, would it be possible to do so during their visit. Luckily, there's a member of faculty coming too so the interview can be done - interview cannot be conducted without faculty.
hi...as opposed to most other schools which ask for a minimum of 2 yrs of experience ...oxbridge asks for 3+.....wat are the chances if someone applies with 2-3 years of stellar work-ex??...is the 3+ years a mandatory requirement?...as per my reserach..one of oxbridge..has a minimum 3 yr work ex requirement..
I have a list of date options, and I will be mostly opting for an interview in SFO, as they have an info session and can schedule an interview then!

Congrats humblewinner! Me too Trying to see if I can do an interview locally still....hopefully this can be accommodated as I can't fly to the UK right now!

I believe Cambridge is the one that states 3 yr work experience requirement, while Oxford mentions that it is willing to look at those with less experience. I believe that falling short by a few months may not be a show stopper for Cambridge if you are outstanding in all other ways. You will need to show that you are the right fit for the place - including being mature enough and can bring something to the class esp. as the avg work experience for Oxbridge is 6-7 yrs.
I'm new to the forum. I will be submitting my applications for R2 to both Cambridge and Oxford, as I now have my GMAT score and know I might have a chance. It is unfortunate that Saïd has its second round deadline in January only, since it will stretch out on my decision-making process.
Congratulations to all interview invitees! I feel butterflies in my belly for you.

Hello ISBtarget,
sorry for the delay. I have been celebrating the birth of my son!
As far as my profile, I have an undergrad and Masters in Computer science, 6 yrs exp, now heading the product development division of a small company in the US.
Can someone let me know the differences between an interview from a faculty member (in case of a telephonic interview) versus an admissions director (in case of an information event) for Oxford. Any tips on preparing for the interview ?
Thanks greenaok for your insight on the interviews. On your note about Oxford vs. Cambridge - I am also applying to JBS and finalizing application. Do many people apply to both schools? I have been considering pros & cons of both (and slightly leaning towards Oxford right now) and am hoping that by applying to both will not do me disfavour Any further thoughts on how I can make sure that applying to both does not work against me? Thanks again

Hi Salisaaa,
Can you put up the pros/cons of Oxford vs. Cambridge for everybody's benefit if you don't mind?
I'm new to this thread - just decided to apply to Oxbridge in their upcoming rounds. Went through some of the earlier posts and found really valuable information. Thanks to everybody for posting. Hope to contribute to this thread going forward.
