I have had more time to get acquainted with Judge, as that application deadline comes first. I think the Venture Project sounds really interesting, and working with Cambridge- or vicinity based ventures would be good hands-on experience.

EDIT: waiwai, just read your gmat post. Have you applied to ISB yet? Curious why you aren't applying to Oxford, it's a 1 year course too.

I will be applying in R2 for Oxford.

I asked about the recommendations. I had not told my coworkers about my plans, only my boss knew. I got this response from admissions office:
Quote:
Cambridge MBA applicants are required to provide
two references, a peer and a supervisor. The supervisor should be from a
line mananger and the peer should be from a professional colleague or team
member with whom you have worked with. We are also willing to accept a
reference from a customer, supplier or adviser with whom you work on a
professional basis. It is preferred that the referees are provided from
your current employer, however, if this is not possible please ensure that
they are from employment held up to 2 years previously.
So in the end I decided to ask a colleague from the same team to write me a recommendation.

The degree transcripts can be uploaded under Academic Information and the first education institution they ask about.

I think it does. They obviously wants someone who works with you on the same level, not above or below. I don't think it matters whether you get paid or not. What matters is that the person knows how you work and what you stand for, and is able to view you from a peer perspective.

By the way, first rounders, how long did your essays get? I don't recall seeing a limit anywhere. How much is too little and how much is too much?

First essay is 400 word limit, second is 400 word and third is 300...

Sadly in my job, I do not have a peer... and i dont think jbs wants a junior guy to be a referee....

R2 applicants... less than 2 weeks to go...

The three last essays are without limits - what to do with them?

Too bad you have trouble with finding a referee. How about looking at their other suggestions? Supplier, co-worker, customer, adviser... anyone who is not in a direct power/rank-relationship with you.

Oh no.... my sympathies! I read your thread at another forum and it seems like they've only dealt out rejections to the members of these forums - so far.
Please let us know if you decide to ask for a comment on your rejection, and what you got to hear.
