I spoke to someone at Hult IBS, which is a 100% international business school with around 90 nationalities each year. They said that their employment rate (now and before the meltdown) after 3 months has always been a little lower statistically because international students need time to move around or back home and to find a job. If you look at their employment levels after 6 months they're up to good numbers. Perhaps this could be the case also with Oxford? More foreign students compared to Cranfield, who need time to relocate and begin with their work?
Congratulations to those who have secured a place. Though without any scholarship it must be difficult.
For the %age who had secured jobs, Cambridge is 89% and LBS is 81%. So DrSatisfactions point on entrepreneurial nature of the school must be a contributor to the low stats (at least I hope it is),
Another point is that Oxford could provide data for only 63% of their students which may make the results skewed.
Cambridge provided data for 93% and LBS 99% of their students. I guess after the rigorous program, the alumni at Oxford might not be interested in school promotional activities (even blogs etc. can be seen much more for LBS)?... I hope advertising apart, the alumni do form a tight group amongst themselves?
Any current student's comment would be highly appreciated.
