Interview! :-D My goodness, I really thought I was an underdog. Oh well, interviews are no admits by far. :) My true sympathy for all those who received dings, and congratulations to other interview admits.

So sorry to hear. :( Do you think retaking your GMAT will help? Perhaps it will, but I myself have a GMAT of (only) 640 (only took the test once), so perhaps there could be easier ways to get interview invites? Other ways to stand out?

:| Sorry to those who didn't make it to the interview...
looks like less than 50% invite for club members so far; fingers crossed for a better post-interview acceptance rate

Just two posts here, but still good to have a look I think:
https://www.clearadmit.com/wiki/index.ph ... dInterview

I also asked an alumni about his experience and here is the response (looks general, but I still find it useful):
it is quite a relaxed affair.. be prepared to talk about what u want out of the MBA.. your application and essays and what you bring to the class.
...
Would appreciate to see more inputs from current students/alumni.

basically just make sure you understand exactly why you're doing an mba at this point in your career, and why oxford in particular. know your resume and essays and be prepared to speak to any weaknesses in your profile.

also they threw a completely oddball question at me, and i've heard from some others they got different weird questions. so maybe you'll get one too. my advice in that case is to be calm, collected, and logical in your response - no matter how weird the question is. you can take a moment to collect your thoughts - the interviewer knows it's an odd question and they're not going to expect an answer right away.

otherwise, good luck to all those who got invites. :)

I would also appreciate info on the Oxford interview. How long will it be? Will there be other program during the same day, like in Cambridge?

mine was 30 minutes on site at the SBS. i was there for the mba open day, so i got a whole bunch of other programs - tour, meeting current students, presentations, etc.

if you're just there on a random day, you might be able to talk to them to get a sit in session on a class. or maybe meet some students. or get a tour of the school. or you can always just walk around the oxford campus, which is quite amazing from what i saw.

Thanks for the info! I'd really like to meet current students, and as I will be spending a night in Oxford and another in Cambridge (on the same trip, if the SBS adcom agrees to my schedule), I will surely take a look around.

What about scholarships? Will they send out scholarships together with the admission letter, or will scholarships have to be applied for later? How about JBS - same deal?

May I ask you what was your attraction to Oxford as a business school?
