Not necessarily. From the looks of last year's forum some people got invited the same day they submitted. (Deadline day)

Waiting for these interview invites is so nervewracking... any basis for thinking that they will go out today/tomorrow vs. Friday/Sat?

Good luck to everyone!!

Well I guessed today/tomorrow because in the 2016-2017 app cycle the deadline was the 14th and the first invites went out the 21st according to the forums, for 2015-2016 the deadline was the 16th and the first invites went out the 23rd...so just following the pattern I THINK it might be today. But to other's point last year invites went out on a friday...

Yeah I don't think they send invites out on non-business days so I think definitely by Friday (but hopefully today) and yes freaking out. As evidenced by my very in depth analysis of when they will come. Lol.

But I will say to keep in mind that they aren't going to be sending all of the invites out this week so even though they start inviting ppl it doesn't mean you're out if you don't get one. I just want to know that they are on their way you know?

FuturePM91 - I think last year invites came on a Saturday. If you have looked into the last year's forums I am sure you have seen my journey from being the hopeless optimist to a stoic cynic.

I hope this year is different.

Oh man. The unpredictability is killing me. What's next? Sending invites outside of normal business hours too? You mean I have to check my email every hour even after 5pm EST?!? And weekends?! It's too much.

One wave last year was 24th Sep! It was definitely a Saturday. Also, Stanford used to send invites in the middle of the night!

Why are you so nervous if you're applying to so many schools and Yale looks like its in the middle of that pack?

Not sure who this is directed to, but I can freak out about all the schools that I've applied to. Considering my track record, it's a straight up legit thing to do. About Yale being middle of the pack: based on what? Ranking? Post MBA employment reports? The heart wants what the heart wants!

I think all of us can relate that if you only apply to schools you really want to attend getting an interview from any of them is nerve wracking and exciting. I didn't just throw my applications out there for nothing so I care about every invite. :-)

Completely agree with this! Also Yale is anything but a middle of the pack bschool. It's a brilliant school which is only rising in rankings and investing heavily in its students and the program!

3pm EST passed and no email :( Not seeing any reports elsewhere either. Perhaps it's Friday? This guesswork is driving me a little crazy...
