If I submitted my app pretty early (Sept 4) and then videos on Sept 9 and did not receive an invitation... Is all hope lost?

I don't think so. Actually more I don't hope so.
I submitted on 20th Aug and completed video questions on 3rd Sept.

I submitted early as well. Maybe they read apps in LIFO instead of FIFO.

I submitted 11th September and did the video on 17th September. Am also located in Australia, so interview will more likely be a hub interview. Probably those factors?

I believe somewhere in last year's thread there was a theory that the applications are LIFO as well, but who knows! Hope all those that didn't get an invite will have something come through shortly

The invitations are random, but yeah it is fun to come up with theories.

Thanks @FuturePM91 - I wonder how much of this is pure luck at this point. Anyway, I hope you get your invite too.

I am a super pessimistic person in general, and this does not look good.

Well, on to the next wave.

This is literally just the first wave of invites! Don't lose heart yet. Your invite is most certainly on its way :)

If I remember correctly, last year the second wave was 3 days after the first wave. 21st and then 24th. But that was last year.

I wonder why they change things every year. Be consistent!!

Guys and gals - I've booked in my off-campus interview. Heads up spaces are limited (only one day for the one I looked at) and you are asked to submit a pre-interview quote, 48hrs before the interview. Not sure if they had this last year. Specifically, it reads:

"Tell us about a quote that has special meaning or resonates with you."

Not at all! I'd like to believe that all adcoms are sensitive enough to understand logistics issues. Wish you all the very best!
