I read somewhere that Yale has the lowest admission rate for Indian applicants of any of the top schools...so honestly I would try not to let it make you panic...its likely not a good barometer for how your other apps will go...ALSO remember the vast majority of invites have not been released.

Yeah I mean I can intellectualise it in my head. But I have a sinking feeling that this might be a repeat from last year. And boy that was horrendous. The problem is that it’s very risky to go beyond the top 15 for international candidates as if you don’t get through big companies, chances of getting an H1 sponsor goes downhill.

@souvik101990 I really think you should wait it out a bit. Don’t panic since that’s not going to help any of your apps. You’re probably one of the strongest candidates I’ve seen in the Indian applicant pool undoubtedly so don’t fret just yet

Thanks! If it weren’t for these forums it would have been such a hard wait. Here’s to next week.

And the week after that.

Well. It's almost Monday so only a few more hours until we get to commence with the weekly torture that will consume our lives until December.

I won't be able to make it -- unless I neglect the 22 seventh graders in my room during that window... haha (kidding). Will you post some insights from the conversation?

Thanks!

Ask them if they will invite you to interview. Lol. Also what order do they review the applications in and whether or not it's by industry..like is someone with experience with applicants from say consulting reviewing all of the consulting apps etc.

Pretty sure they won't answer those...but inquiring minds want to know.

I would probably join. Depends on the work situation. You’d think they would start the week with invites - but, nope!

They probably haven't had time to meet for committee! I'll be joining the webinar today.
