For Round 1 applicants: all interview invitations will go out on Thursday Oct 25.

On-campus interview availability fills up quickly, particularly Saturday interview days, so you may want to pay attention to your inbox.

We would love to have you on campus so you can participate in the Team Exercise, but never fear — interviews with local alumni, or those conducted via Skype, carry the same weight.

If you don’t receive an interview invitation, the AdCom will do another review of your application before the decision notification date of Dec 19. On that date, you may either be waitlisted for a possible interview in a later round or denied. The two most common reasons for a candidate not to receive an interview invitation are either test scores or work experience.

Now that Soojin's blog is up and we know that TODAY is the invites day, how are you guys feelings? I know it's difficult to get proper sleep or concentrate on your work. What about the butterflies in the stomach? For those waiting to hear back from Ross as well Sloan, it's a double anxiety time!

Last year the R1 invites dropped around 4 p.m. ET. We can expect the invites to drop around that time this year as well. Keep checking your e-mail frantically post noon Coz Soojin has specifically mentioned in her blog that the interview slots fill quickly.

So just to clarify, if we don't receive an interview email will we receive another type of email today saying "denied" or "put on hold until Dec" or etc or is the only email going out for the people invited to interview?

Nope. I think if you don't get an email today, you'll get an email only on December 19, telling you whether you got waitlisted or denied.
