So how important is the team exercise?
It's not a compulsion, but I suggest you do it. It's a fun activity and if you choose to do it, it will reflect that you are interested in the school.

Anyone who interviewed on-campus on Monday have any insights, especially about the team exercise? I know there is nothing I can do to prepare but would love some first-hand accounts of how the process actually runs!

Hey guys,
I have a question. I had the interview on 11/10 with local alumni in a coffee shop. We used the Ross interview scheduling system to set up the meeting. On the interview day I forgot to ask for her email address. So after the interview, I wrote the interviewer a thank-you note using the scheduling system. I have not heard back since (could it be because of how the scheduling system is designed?). A current Ross student helped me find her email address and I am wondering if I should send her the thank-you note using the mail.
Suggestions?

Don't worry, not hearing back from is interviewer is more common than everyone thinks. In fact, most of the time you won't hear back from the alum/adcom. You have sent the Thank you e-mail via portal and it will reach the concerned persons. Still, if you want to send the note to the alum directly, go ahead and send it without second guessing yourself. Just make sure of two things: (1) don't copy-paste the same note, (2) add a line mentioning where you got her contact so as not to spook her. :)

Good advice. I will trust that the interviewer got my message. I suppose I am just nervous that the interview didn't go as I had been practicing. I might write a whole debrief later. It seems that many interviewers' "Tell me about yourself" actually means "Tell me about yourself + walk me through your resume." Has anyone else noticed the same?

Well, TMAY and WMTYR questions can be answered in a similar manner even if they may not be essentially the same. Definitely when you would be speaking about yourself you would be talking about your carer and would be touching the bullets you have mentioned in your resume. The only difference I would keep in my reply is that for the TMAY question, I would go a bit more personal, describing myself as a person, than I would go for the WMTYR question. For the WMTYR, I would concentrate more on the professional achievements and the "story" behind the bullets.

It was actually quite enjoyable and pretty low stress. They break you out into groups of roughly 4-6, along with 2 MBA2s who are evaluating you. They give you two stacks of cards; you draw one card from the first pile which tells you your organization/company, and then 6 from the other stack which contains everyday business buzzwords (sales, growth, profit, etc.) Your task is to use 4 of the 6 buzzwords to develop a business problem and solution for the organization/company you drew. Your team has ~10 mins to prepare a 5 minute presentation in which every member must have a speaking role. The evaluators will also ask a follow up question. Like the admissions office says, there's not a whole lot you can do to prepare for the team exercise, just go in there with a positive attitude and don't be a jerk who tries to dominate the conversation or talk over your teammates. Good luck!

Michigan emailed a couple weeks ago saying US applicants would get phone calls today and international applicants tomorrow. Good luck everyone!
