The biggest benefit of the FT MBA is the chance to do internships and networking. You don’t really get the former with part-time MBAs and EMBAs and networking is diminished for both. Some employers will view FT MBA programs more favorably. However, this really only matters for the first job post MBA. After that, no one should care and you don’t have to tell anyone what you did (PT, EMBA) unless you are specifically asked.
Yes it's true you miss out on OCR and the internships, but networking is not necessarily out of the question, especially with all the tools to communicate today, and at the end of the day, you still have access to the alumni network and are considered an alum even as a graduate of a part-time program. I'd also like to point out the part-time MBA isn't even really geared towards people seeking FT MBAs. PT programs exist to fill a particular niche, people who don't want to give up the opportunity cost of their current job/income, and to these people, OCR and internships are not important. Most PT or EMBA students are looking to rise up the ladder at their current firm. FT MBAs and the OCR attract the those who are looking to pivot, perhaps focused on the prestige/brand name of a program, or as you said, perceive the value of an MBA in the networking and recruiting opportunities. Also, I wouldn't say EMBAs have diminished networking- PT EMBA programs exist but for the most part they are FT just like a typical MBA program but your cohort is much older and also largely uninterested in pivoting or switching companies.
