Hello all,
Can you please evaluate my profile.
Work Experience 1:(4 Years)
Worked in a reputed telecom company as a manager for Technical Networks.
Work Experience 2:(2 Years)
Same telecom company but into TQM (Six Sigma Projects). Worked on two projects which had a significant revenue.
Work Experience 3:(1 Year completed of 2 years)
Working as a fellow in Teach For India, currently focused on a project to improve the community investment in education. Also coaches underprivelged kids to a football tournament as part of Just For Kicks NGO.
Awards:
Best Practices award in IT across the Group having 1.5 lakh employee strength
Excellence awards withing the circle.
Just for Kicks award for making a team from the scratch
Academics:
Electronics and Communication Engineer from NIT Warangal ( always among top 10 universities in India) GPA: 6.93/10
High School 95%
GMAT 700(Q50 V33 IR5 AWA5.0)
My target schools are ISB, NUS or any other equivalent programs.
Apply for 2016 programs(preferably 1 year)
Post MBA goal is to work on statistical and analytical approach to business problems.

A few points for your consideration Chandu862:

- Your previous career transition from a technology role into TQM makes good sense when it comes to your post-MBA plan. Even so, you need to get to a better level of granularity in terms of the goal. Your explanation is more the job description and not what is the exact role you will target. Try to get to that level at least
- While the TFI experience can be a great character builder, but it seems disconnected with the rest of your story. Make sure it is put into the right perspective to avoid getting a discount for it rather than brownie points
- Finally, though your experience is interesting and non-common, but your intention to get into statistics/analysis role will put a question mark on your GMAT score (given the fact that your undergrad GPA too is modest). The competition in Asian schools can be pretty intense on this metric and hence it is worth a relook

I think your profile is competitive for the programs that you are interested in. I would like to add a few one year programs in the US - Emory for example has a one year program that is definitely on par for you.
And this advice, of course, is assuming you want to do an MBA.
I do have another question for you though - given that your post degree goal is technical (meaning statistical and analytical) have you evaluated if an MBA is the best option for you? For example, if, by statistical, you mean research and analysis based on market data - perhaps you could consider one of the emerging programs in data analytics? This is just a suggestion - you should evaluate what the best fit is for your intended career goal.
