Hi all,

It is el_dino here.

How can you guys already be in for Round 1 if the admission period has not even started?
Also, in your charts above, there seems to be one admitted and several applications submitted already. How come? Sorry to ask you guys but it is seems to me that I am missing something.

Thanks a lot,
el_dino.

Hi guys

The essay questions for LBS have been released:

What are your post-MBA plans and how will your past experience and the London Business School programme contribute? (500 words)
How will you add value to the London Business School community? (300 words)
Is there any other information you believe the Admissions Committee should know about you and your application to London Business School? (400 words)

Does anyone know if the third question is optional? It doesn't say it is, so I am assuming it is a required essay?

Cheers

Quick update regarding the essay questions. I was confused regarding the word count of the last question. LBS's website suggests a word count of 400 words for the third essay, whereas both the essay question answer template and the application form foresee 300 words. I got in touch with admissions and they calrified that the last essay has a max word count of 300 words. They will update the information on the website as soon as possible.

FROM LBS Admissions Blog: Share a class with EMBA-Global students
For the first time since they started the programme in May, the EMBA-Global Americas and Europe and the EMBA-Global Asia students came together for their joint class week in London. The week offered several opportunities for students to really bond together, meet their peers in person and meet students from the other stream. To balance […]

Hi Guys!!

Which CV template needs to be used for LBS application? They haven't mentioned any format on their website or in the application. Is is okay if i use other B-Schools CV format like Judge or Said?

Hi nitishgera,
On submitting my GMAT score to LBS, I received an email from their admissions office to submit my resume and to get feedback. It took them about 8-9 days to revert back. Their response was diplomatically written but it was very encouraging. I found myself even more interested in the program because of their reply.
I'd encourage you too to submit your resume and get their feedback. But note that, this is not a complete assessment of your profile, because a lot of other useful details about your candidacy are not being shared with them at the moment.

All the best! :)

It is my assumption that the template of all top schools, though might differ slightly, is designed to convey the data in neat and concise manner. Hence, using any professional CV template is totally OK. I used Tuck's template, but modified it slightly to suit my requirement. It works for me, might work for you too. :)

I seem to have encountered a problem. The email to my referees is not getting delivered to them. I tried resending the emails and they tried searching in the spam/junk folder. To no avail of course...
I have contacted MBA Admission Office, but they are yet to reply to my mail (Sunday, duh!). Anyone else encountered similar problem?
