Hi! Apologies if this has been asked before (searched but couldn't find this question), but does anyone know if doing a campus visit, or attending a Preview Day, affects Kellogg's decision? I am in the Chicago area but finding it tough to take a day off to participate in these events, but don't want the adcom to think I am not committed. Does anyone have any insight on this?

In my opinion campus visits only help when the school you’re visiting might have reason to think that you wouldn’t chose their program. Like if it is a safety school or something. Otherwise i don’t think it matters.

No, it doesn’t. Although it does help you get more focussed points for the essays, it will not be the tiebreaker for or against your candidacy. FWIW, I got admitted without visiting Kellogg even once prior to final decision.

Neat article about Kellogg in HuffPost today: https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/sp ... d72ae06c4f
Talks about Kellogg's unique culture and fit.... and the building :-) The author now teaches OB at Kellogg but she seems obsessed with the building - if you want a tour of it, here it is.

Well actually, few people I know found it very helpful when they got waitlisted, so I guess if you've got waitlisted, especially if you've been interviewed by an alum and not an adcom it might be helpful.

I'm late to this discussion but I applied on 9/21, received interview assignment on 10/5, interviewed on 10/18. I also applied to the need-based scholarship on 11/2.

I guess I just have to sit tight until decisions.

Did you get a mail from Kellogg for the need-based scholarship? How did you apply for that?

That's really nice write-up!! I also felt she emphasized more on the collaboration part. I guess that gets really deep for most of the Kellogg graduates!!

Any Round 1 applicants get an invitation to a small group event locally? Alternatively, have any Round 1 applicants NOT received an invitation to a local small group event, and if so where are you based out of?
