I attempted GMAT official practice test 5 and 6.
I test 5 i scored 720 Q49 and V39. The details show that i had 10 questions incorrect in Quant and 8 questions incorrect in verbal.
I test 6 i scored 660 Q45 and V35. The details show that i had 9 questions incorrect in Quant and 8 questions incorrect in verbal.
I am unable to understand why is there such a huge decline in my score even though number of incorrect questions are lesser in test 6.
Can someone help me understand why

The placement of mistakes is paramount in an adaptive test. The mistakes that happen at the beginning of a section lower the diffiuculty level of the nest questions that you face and hence penalty multiplies with mistakes made in beginning of the section.
Perhaps the same has happened with you which led you t receive the dismal score for same number of mistakes made.

Hi Thanks for your response. But i reviewed the details and noted that there is not much difference in the freequency of the incorrect questions in both the tests.
