Solve the two equations:
2048= P + (PR*3/100)
2134.4= P+ (PR*5/100)

If you go by the actual calculations, you’re definitely gonna end up spending a lot of time solving the same.

It’s better go by the concept of estimation of values

Also, as and when you progress solving the same you will see that you won’t get an answer in absolute terms like (a,b and d)

Hi guys! Can anyone explain me how you would solve this problem? I just guessed and tried to find the LCM between 30 and 35 and it fortunately gave me 210 lol but I def not understood the logic behind this question. Couldn’t find the solution anywhere. Thanks!

I wrote on my paper 30P/210 - 35P/210 ... didn’t make any sense lol so just picked D and moved on..

P/30 - P/35.
7P/210 - 6P/210 = P/210

P/30 is the initial cost per person. Then that same cost is split by 35 people instead of 30. The new cost per person will be P/35. Since more people are splitting the same cost P the total per person will be less.

Think I wrote it backwards lol. But same idea hahah

yes! Thanks! And to calculate the difference we would use P/30 - P/35 because we know P/30 must be greater like you mentioned right? the cost per person is more

Just take some value for p. p = 30*35. So initially 30*35/30 or 35 per person. Of 35 person, then cost per person = 30*35/35 or 30. Thus difference = 35-30 or 5. Check the options: 30*35/210 = 5
