It doesn't work that way. just a common myth that has been created by false marketing. Private tutors help you analyse your weaknesses and gives you a direction for sure, But that's no guarantee that your score will improve. I think the focus now has shifted more to online prep courses than private tutors

Hi zerotoone,

One of the 'keys' to improving your GMAT Score is to define how efficiently you are approaching the overall Exam. The types of improvements that lead to higher Scores can be based on a variety of different things - including your content knowledge, your use of Tactics and how you organize your work (your note-taking, labeling, etc.). A tutor could potentially help you improve in those areas, but that does not mean that a tutor is the only way to make those improvements.

I've actually just sent you a PM with an analysis of your Enhanced Score Report - with some suggestions on how you can make those improvements without hiring a tutor.

Hi zerotoone,

Before thinking about a GMAT tutor, the real question that you need to answer is why, after a few attempts at the GMAT, you are not hitting your score goal. Although a tutor certainly can help you improve your GMAT skills, the bulk of your prep will still be done independently. Thus, even if you end up working with a tutor, you want to ensure that you use thorough prep materials to improve your GMAT skills in between your sessions. Have you actually taken the GMAT a number of times or are you just curious about the benefit of a GMAT tutor?

We actually guarantee scores and are the only private tutoring service in the world to do so.
