1) I will have 3.5 years of service in the U.S. Army at time of application. I am a logistics officer. Positions held include platoon leader and maintenance control officer. As platoon leader, I oversaw the health, welfare, and training of 62 Soldiers. As maintenance control officer, I coordinated maintenance operations for a brigade support battalion. I served one deployment to the Middle East in support of operation enduring freedom.
2) 620 GMAT 38Q/37V 7IR 5AWA.
3) 3.42GPA BA Economics SDSU
4) in college I volunteered at the San Diego Food Bank for roughly a year.
5) I hold a top secret security clearance.
6) Dream schools: Michigan, UCLA
Targets: Carnegie Mellon, Georgetown, USC (Trojans)
7) Round 1 in October 2015
8) I wish to transition from the military into a successful civilian life. I am interested in consulting and corporate operations. I want to be in a career where I can utilize my leadership skills to build productive teams.

You have a stellar record of leadership; that said, I feel that the “dream” schools are quite high reaches, largely because of the GMAT. Among the “target” schools Tepper is a reasonable reach, and Georgetown and SCU closer to on-pars. Perhaps consider adding Cornell – excellent in consulting and very receptive to – appreciative of – applicants coming from the military services. I'd view it as a reasonable reach -- closer to the "dream" category but within reach with a compelling application.
