Hello,
I'm looking to apply to FT MBA programs for the class of 2022. I'd love an expert opinion on the strengths/weaknesses of my candidacy! Thanks in advance for any thoughts you can provide.
Demographic: Hispanic female, US citizen, 25 years old
Background: Raised internationally
Work experience: Currently at a top 25 management consulting firm, previously at a Big 4 firm (within their Analytics / Financial Advisory practice) - consistently reviewed as a top performer (first job ~ top 5%, current job not measured in percentile but ratings are strong)
Additional: Consistently involved in advocating for and planning office place diversity events
Education – BA in Mathematics from a top 50 US university, GPA 3.3 (with an in-major GPA 3.6 and a steady upwards trajectory from freshman year to senior year!)
Official GMAT: 740 (47Q, 44V, 5 IR, 6 AWA) taken VERY recently, amenable to retaking - actually this is something I'd like help assessing
Post-MBA goals – Customer insights and/or brand strategy at a global consumer packaged goods company
Target programs: Sloan, Stern, Booth, Kellogg, CBS (need to remain in a major city for my partner)
Appreciate any advice.
Best,

Hello
mindfulstudyCongrats on lofty goals, targeting such good schools for MBA journey.
Being Hispanic female is going to do wonders in admission for you, you are double interesting from diversification perspective, there is strong trend of encouraging females to continue education and even stronger encouragement for Hispanics in US.
When you fulfill application there is going to be even special question to mark are you Hispanic or not
There I have reveal one secret to you, that is going to make you hot commodity on MBA market along with your good overall profile.
Your working history and extra curricular activities are interesting.
I love your BA in Math background, that is always helpful, and your GPA steady upwards trajectory is exactly what admission committee wants to see.
Your GMAT is great, I dont believe you need retake.
Here are facts :
Sloan average GMAT is 728
Stern has average of 714 and median of 720
Booth average is 738
Kelogg average is 732
Columbia has average of 732
As you can see, your surpassed them all

and those are scores of accepted students.
I dont know your intended specialization and I am not going to judge and assume according you post MBA goals what it might be, but overall since to me that Booth might be strongest business school here.
That being said, all of them are awesome, you cannot go wrong where ever you decide to go, since my prediction is that there is very good chance that they will all accept you, as you are rather unique, you have very good overall profile and you are Hispanic female, there is not going to be many like you in application pool.
Good Luck and go to your dream school from list, since my bet is that you are going to be able to choose
