Dear Admission Consultant,
I am an Indian HR Professional (34 yrs, Male) having work ex of close to 10 years (7 years in HR and 3 years in Civil engineering). I have already done an MBA from India 7 years back. I am primarily interested in a career outside India (preferably US/Canada/UK) in consulting or strategic management.
I had my first attempt at GMAT today and got a score of 740 (Q50, V41, IR7). I am not happy with my performance at the verbal section as I had to guess last 6 questions due to bad time management. Anyways, I would like to check if a re-attempt is necessary if my primary target bschools are top one year MBA programs in Canada/Europe (I have a Canadian PR status). Also, kindly guide me around which bschools might be more open to selecting older candidates. Finally, as I am not looking for a career in India at all, the bschool should be able to place most of its students in the base country itself (Canada/Europe).
Education: 1. B.Tech in Civil Engineering (GPA 4)
2. MBA in HR (GPA 4)
Work Ex - 7 years+ as HR consultant/advisor (Total Rewards and Performance Management) in 3 different Fortune 500 organizations (BFSI and IT)
Career goal - 1. To settle in US/Canada/Europe 2.To move from HR consulting to core Business/Strategic consulting
Please let me know if you need any further details. Kindly note that I am interested in the one year full time programs only.
Thanks and Regards,
D Gupta
