30 years old Indian female orthodontist
Education (gold medalist at Tier 1 school)- Bachelors of Dental Surgery
Followed by 3 years Junior residency/masters
Work ex -4 years at designated ‘Institute of National Importance’ (AIIMS)
GRE- 329 (Q162,V167)
Volunteering since 2011 at various NGOs
Post MBA goal- tentative: medical/dental devices, non -profit healthcare organisations

- The academic arc sounds alright. How were your GPAs? Assuming the master's was in dental too? The GRE score looks good.
- The professional profile is a bit unclear. While residency is not uncommon, it may or may not be counted as full-time experience - this can vary from school to school. The nature of your experience and achievements therein will be critical. Association with AIIMS brand can be useful. If you haven't already, start networking with other doctors that may have pursued a similar trajectory.
- The NGO invovement can be promsing as schools value extracurricular/volunteer efforts. The nature/scale/impact will determine it's real value though.
- MBA after 30 is tricky and be prepared for some of the associated challenges. In that context, European schools might be tad better though they do value internatioanl experience. A few specific programs with healthcare focus.
