Thank you so much Linda!
Since the lay off, I have done a marketing consulting project at a friend's start up business, and have dedicated a lot more time to sports, which are a great hobby of mine. I am still looking for a position in strategy consulting, which is also my post-MBA goal.
Unfortunately I wasn't part of a larger lay off at the company, although it might have had something to do with it, since a lot of people have been laid off since, and my position at the company was extinguished. Due to increasing regulations on the tobacco market, companies are struggling in Brazil, espacially the one where I worked, which is the market leader. A plus is that 2 recommenders of mine are my last boss and a coworker that was a project sponsor during my training program.
Do you think I should try a better GMAT score, to overcome the failing grades in college?

Again, thanks for the attention!!

All the best!

A higher GMAT never hurt anyone but yours currently is competitive. If you can raise it easily, sure go ahead. it might help. But don't let the GMAT prep compromise the quality of your essays or other elements of your application.

Best,
Linda
