kjohri, you can check out the Nanyang Fellows program. No other options per se from age/experience fit perspective am afraid, would be more on an exception basis and in that case, INSEAD would be the only option worth it at this stage for you.

Hi MG4MBACrystalBall

I have a PDGM from a reputed B school in India. Would an EMBA aid in career progression in India?

prashanths, the jury's still really out there. We usually suggest a regular full-time MBA over EMBA.

Hi KJ,

You have a fantastic profile - but it looks like you may be better suited to pursue an Exec-MBA than a regular MBA. Please see this article for more thoughts on this aspect: https://mbaadmissions.augustacademy.in/mba-over-30/

I'm thinking the IIM's, ISB, etc.

Best,
Karthik

Hello,
I would like to get my profile evaluated from the experts in the forum !

Age - 36
Nationality - Indian
Bachelors in Electrical Engineering fro Georgia Tech (2001-2005) GPA 3.5
Masters in Engineering Management at Duke Univ 2009-2010 (attended part time while I was working full time) GPA 3.5
Work experience in Semiconductor industry from 2006 to 2010

Started an Agriculture start up in 2010 in India till date. I have somebody who is interested in buying the startup.

Extensive experience in procurement, development, man management, operations, marketing of produce and Human resources.

On exiting this business, I was thinking of doing a MBA with operations specialization in India.

How would you evaluate my profile for normal 2 MBAs vs Execuitve MBA?
Aim to is to go back into the industry.

Thanks !

HI KJohri,
I agree with Manish on the full time MBA. However, a one year specialized MBA would be more suited to you as compared to a two year MBA.
In addition to Nanyang Fellows, consider iBEar (USC Marshall) and Sloan Fellowship at LBS and MIT - all one year MBA programs, with a more senior class more aligned to your own age/ work experience.

Karthik,
I think Executive MBA would be for somebody who is already in the industry and want to climb up the ladder.
Since I have had a break from the industry, I was thinking the conventional MBA.
Thoughts on European MBAs ?

Also, I would like to add, My Green Card would be approved in 3-4 years. Eventual goal is to return to US to work there in an Operations role.
So US MBAs is not an option since I have an immigrant petition pending.
