I have a GMAT score of 740 ( Q :50, V :40, IR : 4.5, VA : 5.5 )
Undergraduate : 8.43/10 ( 2013)
Subject : Electrical Engineering
College : Jadavpur University, Kolkata ( Currently the best government institution in India after the IITs)
CBSE : 91.4% (2009 )
ICSE : 92.43% ( 2007)
I have been working in a government company as a testing electrical engineer since Oct 2013. My job responsibilities include comissioning of transformers, testing of numerical relays of various companies (ABB,AREVA,Seimens) and interacting with consumers regarding comissioning of commercial energy meters.
Extras : Currently pursuing online courses on big data analytics, supply chain management, and basic level R-programming and Python.
Involved with a group dedicated to the development of soccer at the grassroots level.
Developing a model to predict the winner of a football league.
Career goals : My long term goal is to move into the emerging world of Sports Analytics ( eg Opta stats )
Short term : Consulting/Marketing
Prime target : Kelley Business School,Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt,Notre Dame,Eli Broad
Secondary ( Stretch Schools ) : Duke, Tepper
Should I be applying to the above schools ? It would be helpful if someone can advise whether the prime target schools are competitive for my profile ( especially Kelley)

Thanks for sharing your profile. You have an impressive numerical profile which should be competitive for most of the schools outlined. Also, these schools should not be as deluged with applicants from India so there may be an opportunity for you to standout if you present your candidacy in an interesting way.
I would say your work experience will not necessarily be received as elite but you do have some interesting career aspirations that I would recommend you wrap into your essays and short answers via a passion pitch. Overall I think you should be competitive for the schools on your list but do make sure you are creating targeted applications the showcase your unique interest in each school and why you are the ideal fit.
