Ankur you didn't say how long you have been working, but if you have 4-5 years of progressively responsible work logged with some interesting examples of leadership and international exposure, you should have a good shot at top schools (top 10 US or Europe/Asia). I would try to visit schools in the top tier and narrow it down to 5-6 schools where you feel you fit both culturally and academically. Then you can apply to three in first round and three in second.

Hey thanks a lot for the reply.

I mentioned the dates. I have been working for 5 years. But the profile is that of a typical IT guy. Sitting in front of the computer and working.
I do not think I have much of international exposure apart from the weekly client interactions. Also, I do not have any team management experiences.
I do have some leadership and initiatives up my sleeves, but to management experience.

Also, I am from India, so visiting the school is not an option.

I would try to think creatively about any work that you do with teams from around the world even though you only ever sit at your desk.. working internationally does not necessarily mean you travel there. Perhaps some of your project have scope outside your region?
