Hi Apxxrv77,

Nothing like a Safe score for any school. However, a 685+ will help showcase your ability to handle the academic rigor of the program.

Good to see your strong extra-curricular activities and a stable professional profile. Please make the most of these in crafting a set of compelling essays.

Good luck!

Hi Guys,
My name is Apoorv.
It would be great if you guys could have a look at my profile and suggest a safe score for an admit into NUS. (NTU as well)
10th - 10 CGPA , 12th - 86.6% (Science) , UG - 6.90 cgpa
College: BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus
Work exp - 3 yrs ICICI Bank and a Product manager
Am a certified mountaineer and have accolades in football and swimming

Was the Marketing lead in Conquest which is a student run startup accelerator from BITS Pilani

What can be done to offset the grad and 12th scores ?

For NUS, the average GMAT score is around 670, and for NTU, admitted candidates commonly have scores above 680. A target GMAT score of 685-695 would be a safe range to compensate for your lower UG and 12th scores. To offset those academics, explain any reasons or mitigating circumstances in the optional essay, and emphasize your strong work experience and leadership roles at ICICI Bank and as a Product Manager. Highlight your analytical and verbal skills through essays and interviews, and leverage your extracurricular achievements to present a well-rounded profile. Remember, NUS admits candidates with about 6 years of average experience, so showcasing your professional accomplishments clearly is crucial. This approach will enhance your chances even with a 3-year work experience background.
