Hi there,

Thanks for the additional information. First, I would suggest getting more precise around your goals. AdComms need to know that you are clear in the reason you want an MBA and how you believe the MBA will propel your career. Between management consulting and investment banking, I'd consider management consulting. Investment banking just wouldn't make sense for you at the moment unless you can show some glimmer of exposure or interest in the finance world. Even with management consulting, wanting "to be part of the decision making process" isn't enough to convince any AdComm that you're committed that goal. Consulting is one of the most sought after roles for MBA grads, so you can understand with the level of competition, you have to build a better case around that.

In terms of your profile, your academic background, work experience, and involvement puts you in a good position to apply to schools in the top 15-25 area in the US. For management consulting opportunities, I would consider UNC, Tepper, and Kelley. Emory and Texas are good options but would be more on the fringe between stretch and aligned for your profile. If you're looking for more information on these schools, check out our school profile page and other free resources. Best of luck on your applications this season!
