Hello ladies and gentleman,

Can someone give me feedbacks on my profile. Here it goes (all at matriculation):

Age: 23
Undergrad: Top-5 Indonesian University (not sure if this even matters to adcom); GPA: 3.64
Country: Indonesia
GMAT Score: 640 (Q45/V34) - plan on retaking to break 700 before christmas
W/E: 28 months after college, 40 months if we counted a company that I built during college (and still chugging along quite nicely I might add
Industry: Financial analyst on energy and utility company. Current responsibility is creating financial models for various project in the company, help negotiated financing deals, and the latest project is an acquisition of another company in the same industry - report directly to managing director

Extra activities: chaired a community outreach program during college, found a student club, trading my personal account on the side (this helped me a lot to finance my future MBA), passed CFA L1 exam - not sure when I'll take the L2 since I heard it's exponentially harder

I'm currently work in corpfin and I want to make a jump to either investment management/HF/Sales and Trading (emphasize on trading) so I'm aiming for either Columbia, NYU, Chicago, or Cornell. What are my chances to enroll on those schools?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hey, mate, now let's move to ur topic :) If you really need my comment, I really think ur profile shud be ok for M7. Some might say I'm overoptimistic but u shud try! With gmat above 700 (hopefully!) and good essays/rec letters u have really nice chances. It all depends on how u market urself :) Gud luck, mate!

You might get into Cornell with ur current GMAT score and background,but for others,u shud get around 700.

@caleoptera: Yes, I'll try to apply to some M7 schools (will definitely try for Columbia if my GMAT improves). It's just that after spending some time lurking through forums and sites, I don't think M7 schools really a good fit for me (exceptions would be Stanford - a very very stretch school; and Columbia as I've stated). But will try nonetheless ;)

@fall09: That comes as a bit of a shock. I thought Cornell is one of the top schools outside M7 that needs middle to high GMAT (along with a good essay that is).
